Can God hear me screaming
For the one that I have lost?
Who died a death so noble,

The love fate has denied me
Which only he could have shown.

In his final sacrifice?
Rather than see a world in pain
He paid the ultimate price.
God, have you ever looked into his eyes?
Eyes that shine even in sorrow.

He was scared, yet rational
Innocent, but wise
With nervous humor to mask the courage

He was our savior, our cornerstone
