Part 13

"So, do you three want to stay here for Christmas?" Buffy asked Angel, Cordy, and Doyle.  Cordelia had pretty much screamed when she saw Doyle again.  But he told her that in this world, anything could happen.  And Xander, Willow, and Riley all showed up at Giles's unaware of anything.  Giles and Cordelia had no memory of the evil Santa.

Buffy, Spike, and Angel never told them about Kris.   That was a secret, held safe in their hearts.  And now, on Christmas Day, it was a time of celebration.

"Shall we go caroling?" Druscilla suggested.  Not everyone had reacted well to Druscilla and Spike's turn for the better. But they decided to adjust Dru had also regained a bit of her sanity, so she was now a full member of the Scooby Gang.

"Oh, please no," Xander groaned.

"Let's eat!" Spike said.  "I could use a good pint of B negative blood!"  Druscilla agreed, as she snuggled closer to Spike.

"Can you believe them?" Cordelia groaned.  "I mean, why can't those vamps get a room?"

"Right, and if you get any closer to Doyle, you'll be sharing a body," Buffy smirked.

"They're already sharing preminitions," Angel said, laughing.  Cordelia stuck her tongue out at them.

"Oh keep that there!" Doyle said, laughing.  Cordelia smacked him upside the head.  "Ow!  That hurt!"

"Buffy, we need to talk," Angel said.  He quietly lead her into another room.

"What is it Angel?" Buffy asked curiously.

"Turn around," he said.  She turned, facing a mirror.   She saw Angel's reflection.  Buffy felt her knees buckle, and she about fainted.

"Angel?  You're human?" she asked.

"Read this," he said, handing Buffy a letter.

Angel,

Congratulations.  You've reached redemption in my eyes.   You're wish was completely unselfish, and you've saved many.  And you'll save more.  But you're human now, so enjoy it.  Congratulations again.

Kris

"How can you save many more?" Buffy asked.  "You're human!"

"She saved most of my strength," Angel said.  Buffy's face broke into a broad smile, and she gave him a hug.

"So, now we-" Buffy stopped.  She remembered Riley's bracelet he got her.  She remembered his shy smile, and his blond hair.

"Buffy?  There's so much to discuss-"

"And we will.  But not now.  It's Christmas," Buffy said.   She knew there were many more decisions up ahead.  But for now, at least, she'd enjoy the holidays.

There were carolers at the door.

We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
And a happy new year!

Good tidings we bring
to you and your kin
good tidings for Christmas
and a happy new Year.

"Merry Christmas!" they cheered.

"Merry Christmas!"
