Part 6

"Looks like we caught the uncatchable slayer!" Spike chuckled as his minions tied Buffy's hands behind her back and chained her to a pillar at the side of the main hall in the mansion.

"When I get free, mark my words Spike, I'm gonna make sure you're picked up with a dust buster!"

"You should keep quiet, Slayer.  You've been a bad girl, hurting My Angel like that.  Ms. Edith will like you . . ." Drusilla dawdled, brushing a bit of Buffy's hair from her neck.

"Speaking of keeping quiet, " Spike turned to the group of vampires behind them, "shut her up, would you?"  One vampire smirked and pulled on the duct tape, strapping it across the slayer's mouth and securing it.  "A little typical, but until Angel shows up, it'll do.  With any luck, he'll bring the brat and her friends.  The slayer can watch them die, then she can join 'em. "

Buffy's eyes narrowed and she yelled something.  If it hadn't been muffled by the tape, she'd probably need her mouth washed out with soap.

"Such big words.  What would your mummy say if she heard you?" Dru asked.  Buffy growled as threatening as she was able to at the couple.

"Come on Dru.  Let's go see if we can find our dear sire.  Maybe we can torture him, bring him back and kill him. "

"Torture like he did me, Spike.  Drive him coo-coo. . . " Their voices and laughter drifted off down the hall.  Buffy shot an angry glare at the remaining vampires, who cowered in fear of the girl before them, and the less courageable ones scrambled away.

Several minutes went by in silence before a dozing-off Buffy caught a slight rapping at the back doors.  Through the glass, she could see two figures.  Angel and Jessie.  Jessie held her figure to her lips, saying "Shh!".  Buffy nodded, glancing to the sleeping vampires in front of her.

The younger slayer tried the handle.  Locked.  Angel took hold and pressed down, breaking the lock.  The slight snap partially awoke one of the guards, but it soon went back to sleep.  The intruders crept over and took the tape off Buffy's mouth.

"We need something to cut these chains with.  And can you hurry?  They're cutting off my circulation," Buffy whispered.  Jessie looked around and noticed something in the wood pile by the fireplace.  A sword.

"Hold on. " She slinked over to the pile and inspected the best way to get to the hilt.  After putting a few logs aside, she grabbed on the handle, but it was still lodged.

"Jessie, hurry!" Buffy alerted her.  "They're coming back!"

"Wait!  It's . . . coming . . . " Jessie gave a hard tug and finally got the sword free.  Sending all the wood clattering to the ground as Drusilla and Spike reappeared.

"What the hell?!"

"Shit," Jessie whispered.  "Heads up!" She threw the sword to Angel, decapitating the vampire who was getting up.  "Literally," She added, noting Dru coming up to her.

Angel held the sword to the chains, raised it, and sliced the iron in half, releasing the slayer.  Pulling them off, the two kissed passionately.

"Oh bloody hell . . . " Spike breathed, pulling Angel away and giving him a punch in the nose.

"Oh God-" Buffy looked from the struggling vampires to her cousin, who was loosing against the vampiress.

"Buffy?  Angel???" Jessie yelled to them, trying to get out from under the lunging vampire.

"You're going to meet your daddy again, Little Slayer," Dru hissed, baring her fangs and lunging again.

Buffy grabbed the sword and ran to the two.  From behind, Buffy shoved the sword into Dru's back, the blade protruding through her stomach and just catching Jessie's t-shirt.

"Sp-ike?" She asked faintly, falling on top of the slayer.  Buffy pulled the sword from her back, and knowing how badly Angel would be hurt in his current position, rolled Dru off and helped Jessie to her feet.

"Dru?" Spike called, turning his attention from Angel to his love.  There, beside the two slayers, was the still form of his lover.  "Dru!" Spike banged Angel's head against the pillar in front of them and charged the two.  "You are going to pay for doing that, bitch!" He growled at them.  Both were knocked down by the force of the raging vampire and tried furiously to get him away.  Suddenly, Spike stopped, his eyes glazed over, and he fell.  Angel stood above them, vamped -out and in a crouch as if he'd staked Spike.  He did, actually, but not through the heart.

"B-Better luck next time," Jessie quipped windlessly, taking his hand and getting up.

"Let's go before they wake up," Buffy told the two.  They nodded without discussion and ran down the hall, over the still asleep vampires.
