Author's Notes: Innocence be damned, never happened. This is set after Surprise, but no Innocence. This is a silly fic. I wrote it because I'm in a lot of pain, after not wearing enough sunscreen and getting a very large, painful, sunburn. I'm suffering, so I made Buffy suffer too, and gave her one.
Spoilers: Surprise and back, no Innocence.
Angel stared at Buffy in shock, he had never seen her like this. He started to laugh. "What's so funny?" She asked crossly, he tried, unsuccessfully, to wipe the grin off his face.
"Nothing It's just you look so......" "I know, I know. I went to the beach with Willow and Xander, and......I forgot to use sunscreen."
"That's obvious." Angel said, pointing to her bright red skin." "Massage it?" She asked hopefully, "sure." He said, pushing the door open to allow her inside.
"It hurts." She pouted.
"It's your own fault." She glared at him. "Couldn't you be the least be sympathetic, I'm in pain here."
Angel looked contrite. "Sorry, it's just been a long time since I saw..." "Someone who looked like they sat in an oven?" She filled in dryly. "Yeah." He said with a laugh, she tried to get upset, but she started to laugh to.
She did look funny.
He began to rub her shoulders.
"Thanks." She said, gathering her hair in one hand. He massaged her shoulders for about twenty minutes, before she pulled him into the bedroom.
He followed her, and they began to kiss. He started to kiss her neck, when she pulled away.
"Angel we can't it hurts too much." Angel sighed in frustration, but moved away. "Damn it, next time, Buffy, wear sunscreen!" She nodded, not to happy about the turn of events herself.
But that's the price she paid for getting a sunburn.
