Wedding Dresses

Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  They belong to 20th Century Fox, Joss Whedon, and Mutant Enemy.  I am using them without permission, however I am not making any money off them so please do not sue me.

Author's Notes: This is the 7th in my new series.  It follows “Meant To Be,” “Friends Like These,” “Facing the Consequences,” “Eavesdropping,” “Laughter and Luggage,” and “Wedding Plans.”  Read those first.  I decided to hurry up with the wedding, so that will be the next story.  First we have to have some fun, this is pure fluff.  Also, I hint that Willow and Spike must get married soon, but it should be interesting.  Spike’s going to put up a little bit of a fight.  Enjoy.  Oh, and this is for all those nice people who sent me feedback for the others.

“What do you think?” Cordelia Chase asked mischievously as she pulled the world’s ugliest wedding gown from the rack and held it in front of her.  “Do you think Whistler will like?” She asked with a grin.

Buffy Summers could barely stop from laughing, as she tried to look at Cordelia sternly.  “Cordelia Marie Chase, there’s no way you’re getting married at the same ceremony with me if you wear that dress.”

“Why not?” Cordelia asked innocently.

“Because it’s really ugly?” Willow Rosenberg offered, then she pulled a pretty ivory coloured dress from the racks and handed it to Cordelia.  “What about that one?”

Cordy looked it over carefully, this was her big day after all.

The dress was beautiful, form fitting and strapless, it had a matching lace shawl to go with it.

“I like it.” Cordelia murmured, just then Buffy let out a squeal.

“Look!” She cried, as she held out another dress.

It couldn’t have been more different that Cordelia’s dress.  It was white satin and off the shoulder, with a full skirt and cloud-like tulle veil, it even had a full train.  It was breathtaking.

“Wow.” Cordelia and Willow said at once.

“Do you like it?” Buffy asked hesitantly.

“Oh, yeah.” Cordelia said, picking up her own dress.  “Let’s try these on, then let’s go meet the guys.”

“Okay.” Buffy agreed, and the two disappeared into the changing rooms.

Willow watched them with a little bit of envy and wondered if maybe it was time to talk to Spike after all, then she changed her mind.  No, she was happy as she was.

They would take it one day at a time, for now anyway.
